Welcome to Your New Life

The Vision

To continue Christ’s mission
to seek and save the lost (Luke 19:10).

The Mission

To present the full Gospel of Jesus Christ, transforming non-Christians into converts, converts into disciples, and disciples into mature, passionate, and fruitful community leaders. Our mission is accomplished through prayer, preaching, ministries, programs, and community engagement- that demonstrate the love of Christ (Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 16:15-18, 1 Corinthians 11:1).

Beliefs & Core Values

God - There is one God: the creator of the heavens, the earth, and all mankind. This one God is Father in creation, Son in redemption, and Holy Ghost in regeneration and activity. He is the first and the last; there is no God beside him (Genesis 1:1, John 1:1; 14, Isaiah 44:6-8, Isaiah 9:6, 1 Timothy 3:16).

The Bible

The Bible is the infallible Word of God and the authority for salvation and Christian living (2 Timothy 3:15-17).

Salvation consists of deliverance from sin through the blood of Jesus Christ. This is accomplished through repentance from sin, water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and receiving the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance. This experience is called the New Birth (John 3:5, Acts 2:38).

Prayer is the avenue of communication in which man forms a relationship with God. This is achieved when connecting with God is a priority, resulting in spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical change (1Timothy 2:1-3, Isaiah 56:7).

Discipleship reflects Christ’s character. Systematic instruction, mentorship, training, and development is at the core of producing people who align themselves to love God and love others. This love causes individuals to come back to Christ, live a life that is pleasing to Him, and fulfill the mandate to continue Christ’s mission to seek and save the lost (Galatians 5:22-26, 2 Corinthians 5:17).

Community Engagement

Serving God translates to being servants of our community. Meeting the spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical needs of others will result in stronger and healthier communities (Matthew 25:36, Luke 14:12-14).

In 1992, Bishop Davy came face to face with the express commandment of the Holy Ghost to go to the city of Tampa to raise up a people who would serve God without compromise. He has a  great compassion for people and compelling desire to develop the whole man. His sound teaching, fatherly coaching and ability to mold leaders is transforming Tampa into the City of the Apostolics. Together with the loving support of Sis. NLT Beginnings

Established in 1992 under the leadership of Bishop Daniel M. Davy, New Life Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church is dedicated to reaching the community with Bible salvation and a message of hope and deliverance for everyone. The first service was held on the campus of the University of South Florida with under 10 in attendance. With several moves and God's grace, some 30+ years later; thousands have been introduced to the gospel of Jesus Christ and the Apostolic faith in Tampa calling New Life home.

Our passion for souls exceeds all other desires and drives us to do the work of God with a spirit of excellence. Our lively services and intense worship atmosphere are designed to bring every person closer to God.

Rashidi F. Collins is the current Senior Pastor with continual guidance from Bishop Davy.

The Vision

We  desire to plant 99 churches throughout the state of Florida to reach the more than 20 million people who reside here. We currently have 18 churches in our Family of Churches. As a part of our plan to expand, we are committed to equipping and mentoring ministers and pastors through the Florida Apostolic Bible Center, a college-level program approved by the Florida District UPC for licensing credentials.

Our Tampa (Seffner) Campus, located at 6912 Williams Road, is currently home to our 1,500-seat sanctuary and Family Life Center. The Family Life Center, which includes a gymnasium and classrooms, houses NLT Academy, our K-12th grade school.

We will continue to expand our impact by building a stand-alone school, a 4,000-seat sanctuary, a home for older adults, and a home for troubled teens. We will not rest until everyone in the region is exposed to the Gospel of Jesus Christ as set forth by the apostles. We intend to become a vital part of the Tampa Bay Region by ministering to both the natural and spiritual needs of everyone. We plan to do this with sound biblical principles and proven philanthropic practices.

Let us know how we can serve you.
